About

Nowadays automated drones are gaining more attention in academia and industry. Drones, including unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) open up new opportunities and generate efficiencies in industries such as agricultural, mining, and oil and gas.
Recently, the mining industry has shown increased interest in the use of drones for routine operations in surface and underground mines. Drones can be employed during various phases of the facility’s lifecycle. This objective of this grand project (GP) is to develop and design the next generation drones for emerging industries.
The Principal Investigators (PIs) in this GP proposed products of network drones, unmanned air vehicles (UAVs), and UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles) for the civilian and defense use. The products proposed in this GP are expected to be at the frontiers of the next generation industrial automation and enhanced human living standard.
