Dr. Bishakh Bhattacharya is Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. He is currently heading the Cognitive Science programme and coordinating the Space Technology Cell of the Institute. He was a visiting professor at the University of Sheffield, where he carried out research on Structural #Health Monitoring of Complex Autonomous Systems in collaboration with Prof. K. Visakan, Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering. He was also Visiting Professor to IPS-Waseda University, Japan and jointly developed a series of Pipe Health Monitoring robots with Prof. Harutoshi Ogai. As DST-JSPS recipient, he is working in collaboration with Prof. Hiroaki Wagatsuma of Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan on Child Robot #Interaction study. He is active in creating Web and Video based course materials for India’s National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) initiative.
Prof. Dr. Bhattacharya’s extensive areas of research include Vibration Control, Structural Health Monitoring, Energy Harvesting System Design, Robotics and AI, Control–Structure Interaction Analysis, Smart material based Intelligent System Design, Child–Robot Interaction Design and Modelling of Neuronal Dynamics. Based on his work, a new technology has been developed for the shape control of continuous structures like space-born reconfigurable parabolic antenna systems for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Another notable application of his work is a novel robot for Pipe Health Monitoring, developed for the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL). Professor Bhattacharya is recipient of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) Young Scientist award and Young Scientist Award from the Systems Society of India. He has developed international collaborations with the UK, Sweden and Japan. He seats in the editorial boards of International Journal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, International Jl. of Systems Science and ISSS Jl. of Micro and Smart Systems.

At Alphoenix Design Pvt. Ltd. We provide custom design and development of high-efficiency BLDC motors for different sectors like EVs, Aviation and Drones, Industrial machinery and Household appliances.
We’ve designed our motors in such a way that its manufacturing process would reduce material waste of motors by 70% and increase efficiency by 5-8%. Our flagship motors provide an efficiency of around 92%-95%. The motor will be manufactured with the capability to utilize CRGO (Cold-Rolled Grain-Oriented) material in its construction.
Our radial flux motors can provide such efficiency with easy manufacturing processes. Utilizing our new motor makes it feasible to achieve an efficiency rating exceeding 95%.
Founded by Marico, Parachute Kalpavriksha Foundation’s objective is to make a difference in the life of Indian farmers. The word “Kalpavriksha” is derived from Devanagari script “Kalpa” (imagination/wish) and “Vriksha” (Tree), meaning the tree that fulfils your wishes. We are a Non-Profit organization working towards the welfare of farmers in India. Currently we have enrolled more than 65,000 farmers covering almost 2.75 Lakh acres of plantation across the states of: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
Our team of 100+ Agronomists regularly pay visits to the farmers and educate them on scientific farming practices and help them increase their productivity. Apart from our Productivity improvement program, we provide other services like Agri Expert on phone, Agri Business Centers (ABC), Water conservation activities by construction of farm pond, classroom training to farmers through Kalpavriksha Knowledge Centre etc.
